Getting started & Services offered:
A free 30-minute introductory call will be offered to every client. Family members involved in client care are welcome on the call as well. Alee will listen to the concerns and ask pointed questions to determine where she can best help you. By the end of the call, you will understand why and how she can be of service to you.

Daily Activities
~Independence starts at your front door ~

Alee uses the latest research to assess your performance daily activities. She will offer insight into the demands of the task, which may include physical demands, cognitive load, and social/emotional and environmental demands. Some of these include: cooking, cleaning, caring for pets, taking medications, doing laundry, getting up and down stairs, taking a shower, and more. Alee is uniquely trained to assess and assist you in developing independence while enjoying participation in these tasks.
Caregiver & Family Support
~ Supporting the one who supports ~

Alee has worked with clients who are blessed with the support of their caregivers. In these experiences, she has identified a variety of causes of caregiver burnout. It is through compassionate, informed-care that Alee is able to identify areas of burden and provide ideas to lessen caregiver burden, improve quality of life, and strengthen relationships in the home.
Fall Prevention
~ Home is where the balance is ~

Let’s face it, getting up off the floor can seem impossible to some and pose a challenge to others. How did you end up on the floor? Could it have been prevented? Were you as prepared as you could have been? Prevention, preparedness and recovery are important parts of fall education. Alee will identify strategies for each phase and will work with you to determine safe ways to feel confident and informed!
Beyond the Disease
~ Adapt~

Alee works with clients in different settings living with various acute and chronic diseases. She is certified in Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery and is skilled in training specific exercises to improve function and performance. Some common diseases include: Dementia, Stroke, Parkinson’s, Low vision/blindness, Arthritis, Spinal Cord Injuries, Limb Amputations, Diabetes/Chronic diseases, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and more. She is trained in understanding how these disease may impact someone’s ability to carry out daily activities. Alee uses a person-first care to develop strategies to live life more fully amidst the disease. She believes that the person comes FIRST and that the disease should not define a person.
Home Modifications
~Safe Home, Sound Mind~

Alee will walk through your entire home with you to identify hazards. After the walk through, she will complete a comprehensive home safety report with detailed recommendations. This may include some simple low / no-cost solutions to optimize your living space and allow you to mobilize in and outside of your home safely.
Functional Exercise Programs
~Performance for the real world~

Alee will determine the most appropriate exercises that will allow you to participate better in your daily activities. Through standardized strength, balance, and performance testing, she will develop an individualized program unique to you. The exercises will be creatively tailored to align with meaningful occupations important to you.
